i am thinking about buying a 2002 q45 with 147,000 miles i was wondering if these are reliable and anything to look for also when does timing chain need to be replaced if youll can help me out thanks

WHY????? A low mile 02Q can be had for $9-10 thousand.......unless you are getting this hi mile one for less than $5,000 any upfront savings on purchase price will soon be spent replacing worn out expensive components!!!!

So what kinda answer do you want? It really matters. how much? canyou get service records?I have an 02 Sport with 172000 miles. was just in dirty SA last month. I drive to Texas 3 times a year.havent had a major repair since a ballast at 110k.stuff that was gonna wear early did before 100k and was under warranty.

Read the sticky above. It is all about verifiable service history, especially OCI and updates on 2002, then the Infiniti technician's inspection report. Nissan backed extended warranty is nice, but that car is probably not eligible.
