I've messed up my KA, and am considering an rb20 to swap into my vert. But I've got a few questions first...

I know I need the engine x-member, but do I need the trans x-member too?

Do I need a custom driveshaft, or will the 240 driveshaft work?

I'm not too clear on the wiring. I'd be getting the whole harness, but does the entire thing need swapped out in place of my KA harness? Or are there a couple of mods I make to the stock harness to make it work?

Fuel pump?

I'm not asking if rb's work for me. I have decided on this engine for numerous reasons, and have my heart set on it.

Ok so, about the wiring...What needs to be done...I think i am capable of doing it my self? I have been browsing for a while for a do-it-yourself rb20 wiring guide?

i was thinking about doing an rb20 swap also, but i was wondering if you have driven an SR20 swap, and which one you like better. but parts for the sr is abundant and parts would be harder to get for an RB.(am i right)

both are good motors and both get the job done.ive driven both and stock vs stock i like the rb more simply because of its nice linear powerband, it has good torque and revs freely where the sr feels like its constricted.cant tell you which way to go for the most part its personal choice.

If you get the McKinney Mounts you don't need a different driveshaft; they're adjustable so you can use yours. That's what I'm doing..
