Time to trade in my 99 Acura TL and upgrade. I've been admiring the G35 for a couple years now and really want to make this my next car. Buying a new one is not an option for me.. so I'm looking at the 2004-2005 with around 30k miles on them. They run in the low $20s.

Are there any major differences between the 2004 and 2005 models? I would be looking at the Sedan primarily, but would consider the coupe if I found one in my price range. You don't see many coupes for sale though around here.

I've read through a couple pages here and haven't seen many complaints about the G35S. Anything I should know about before heading to a dealership?

Thanks for the advice in advance. And hopefully I can chill here as a new owner soon!

Personally, I would get the newest model year you can afford for the sedan.

The 03-04 have brake dust issues, a different stereo console (who needs cassettes??), and they're Non REVup versions of the VQ35.

**The REVup applies to coupes...I cant vouch for the sedans. Do a quick search to get the details on what it is.

You may want to wait a few weeks/months before heading out to the dealership. The new 08 coupe will lower the prices of older models...

Welcome to NICO!

I 100% agree with Joe on every aspect of his post. Wait a couple weeks for the 08's. Go for the 05 not 04

LOL at cassettes. Any other questions that you have...you know where to find us!

Thanks for the tips. I just hope my TL can last me a few more months.
