The buford damn meet?

Well, Im supposed to drive home up to Pittsburgh that day, but I may just stop there on my way home or something. It is just really far from atlanta to be driving an hour there, then back, then the next day drive for 12 hours by myself. I dunno... we'll see.

You going?

lucky bastard... I left ATL when I graduated in 2001. My parents live in N Fayette (about 10 miles south of the airport). I miss home so much. I live in Louisville now but my job is taking me to DC at the end of the month. YEAH! (KY sucks...)Hey, quit dissing the southside. Sure the north side has both of the Dave and Busters, Chastain park, and a million other things we dont have, but at least we have a 30 min drive into the city 24hrs/day, 7 days/wk.At 5pm on a Friday, how far can you go in 30 min?? Maybe 5 miles...Is it true that if you work for Delta, you ahve to live in PTC??

Do you guys know of any street racing spots in ATL??

Haha... umm... how to put it...

My brother and his friends used to refer to the PTC area as "Rice Central." There are maybe 20-30 non-rice cars in town that are modified, and that's probably a little high.

Let me put it this way:My Sentra has an intake and a short shifter. It probably runs an upper 7s 0-60. It makes ~130hp and ~130lb/ft at the wheels. It's one of the fastest modified cars in the lot at school.

Why? Because it's not loaded down with body kits, spoilers, blangin rims, etc. (LSD helps too :D)

However, there are a few incredibly fast cars down here. The fastest N/A E30 BMW lives in the area, it's owner runs out local tuning shop. That shop has several VERY fast vehicles. There's a Firebird that is scary as ****. There's an Eclipse GS-T and a Talon TSi AWD that are painfully fast, I believe the latter has a 16g. An SR powered 240SX, though he's now at Tech, but he visits from time to time. Not to mention the turbo M5, 750hp blown classic Mustang, as well as a real Saleen 'stang...

blah blah, there are a few nice cars, but they are few and far between. Rice is the dominant species.

that is what i always heard. when i do have spare time down there i hope there will be some 240/NICO get togethers. other than that all i'll probably meet is rice!

Hey if you guys organize a meet some weekend that I'm free....let me know. I live in the Marietta/Woodstock/Roswell area. I don't think I'm gonna drive all the way to Buford, and especially not PTC, unless it's going to be a BIG meet though.

Yep, Allspeed is great. Wish they had job openings, I'd kill to work in there. Ordered my intake through them. I've got them pricing out JIC FLT-A1s and HS headers at the moment, research for my summer projects. They're coming out with a piggy back ECU programming system in June. I'm hoping maybe I can score a deal, they probably need a Japanese test car to accompany all their Germans, why not an SR powered one? Sometimes I wish I had the time to just go up there and hang out for the day, watch Glen at work. We ought to have an ATL NICO Members Dyno Day there sometime, it's $50 for 3 runs, but with a big group we might be able to drop that a bit. Drool...

If we do a dyno day, we should do it at Dynolab in Marietta. That is the best dyno facility I've ever seen. You get a VERY nice printout w/ picture of your car on photo paper. They'll do $50/3 runs there as well with a group.

I'm at either exit 267 or 271 (depending on which way you are coming from) on I-75. So I guess I'm a good 35 miles away from you.

No, I'm north of Atlanta. Downtown is like exits 250-260 or so.
