I've had my Z for about a week now and my mind has been working overtime trying to come up with something tasteful to make my baby stand out from the crowd. Here's what I've come up with so far... (note - I'm just gonna change the colors of some pieces. I really don't plan on changing the exterior that much, a front lip is in the future and maybe a rear diffuser)

I like the wheels but I don't know about painting the mud flaps. I think that would look weird in real life. Just my opinion though.

truthfully... standing out is going to be hard unless u go out the norm... but that doesn't mean it won't look good...

i've seen something new though last sema there were some cars that have a painted to look like bare aluminum... i like it <-fan of metal..

I like th wheels, calipers, and the window tint. I'm not really likeing the mirrors or the mud guards.

Yeah, I've gotten mixed feelings on the mirrors and splash guards from the people I've asked. It just looks like something is missing to me when the wheels are painted darker... I don't know, I'm gonna keep playing around with it

But on a side note, I freaking love this car (and so do the local ladies apparently , haha )

Thanks for the input all!

After looking closely I noticed the car was in the EXACT spot before and after. That took some time!! Then saw this is a photo shop. Thats a really neat way of viewing changes. My opinion (2 cents) is by painting the flaps and mirrors it is bringing attention to them. Do you really want to set off mud flaps? Nice car.

Haha, yeah... using photoshop is a lot cheaper than the old guess and check (whether or not you like it) method. But I did the splash guards black because it just looked too plain without something else done... it looked like something was missing. Here's a picture without the splash guards and side mirrors painted

Yeah the more I look at that last picture the more I kind of like it, hah. That'll most likely be what I end up going with

I like the darker mirrors, but playing with the door handles... I think painting them the same color of the car look nice. Also, if you like carbon fiber, there is a new product on the market that is carbon fiber with an adhesive back. Its completely flexible, but it is just plain carbon fiber; no clear, not shiny. Ive seen the product through its clear packaging (at my local Advance Auto store), and it looks pretty good though. Maybe wrapping the door handles (and mirrors?) with that product might be an idea.

Glad it was photoshop was about to tell you that was by far the ugliest guards I had ever seen. Nice rims. Throw a turbo in there and you can cut some pavement up.

How hard is it to stand out in a Z? where i live Z's are hard to come by. Since i've got mine 2 months ago I've only seen 2 others a silver coupe and a blk convertaible. I'm constantly getting asked what kind of car it is but then agian i love the attention which is why i bought it. But i have to agree on the nismo stripe

I guess every place is different, where I live there's Z-cars everywhere. Two 07s just on my street. There's 6 DE Zs in my neighborhood alone... i always see them on the GSP or Highway 9... When we spot a Z we usually catch up and ride in formation (dunno why) but it's always fun to meet new Z owners. They're all starting to look the same though.. same kits, same mods, same offsets heh

well gluck on ur build

Yeah, I live around Orlando and it's quite Z car dense around here, haha. Mine basically looks like every other one rolling around here and I just want it to be noticeable as MINE if it were parked in a parking lot or going down the interstate

On a side note... are there any other good 350Z forums? I've checked out a few I found through google and yahoo and they seem to be pretty dead

i am gonna be the old ball and say that i liked the guards, i think the contrast was nice, but never forget man, the car is like your fingerprint it is unique to you and making it what you want it to be is much more important than what all of us or anyone else thinks about it
