I was initially concerned about that when I noticed sensors on the diff housing. But after more research, it seems the LSD (or more specifically, VLSD) in the G37 is the viscous type, which, by definition, relies on the mechanical interaction of discs and fluid inside the unit to determine how the power is allocated between the output shafts. It doesn't use any power actuated clutch-type mechanism. Best I can tell, the sensors probably tie into the computer to provide feedback for traction control and such, but the torque vectoring inside the diff is mechically, not electronically controlled.
