Well, I'm thinking of getting another 240...no not another vert. My mother-in-law has a friend that is selling a 89 coupe...it's seafoam and gray two tone. It only has 53,000 miles on it...one owner...she bought it new from our local dealer. She only wants $1,000 for it...but my mother-in-law said she will take less. I'm just not sure...I really don't need it but my wife wants it. Only thing is, we have a 98 Altima that we never drive now, but are keeping it cause it's a four door and we are trying to have children...the 240 wouldn't be the best backup family car. The 240 has one little bump on the rear bumper (think that's what my wife said) and the bumper cover will need replacing and new paint. I'm really thinking of buying it and fixing the bumper and flipping it. I've seen it many times but I've never driven it but it's been garaged since new and been serviced by the dealer since she bought it. I'm going tomorrow or Sat. to look at it...she hasn't put it up for sale yet and is going to wait until I get a shot at it...she knew I drove one and called my mother-in-law to let me know about it first. If I like it, and want it, my wife said her mother would even front me the cash to buy it until I get paid to pay her back....god I have great in-laws. Soon as I look at it I'll snap some pics to see what y'all think.

Seafoam coupe + that low of miles = greatness.

Yes get it. Or if you don't give me the details I know plenty of local guys who would want it.

You could always flip it for a little bit of extra cash

Crap!!! I found out yesterday that the family that was selling the two tone 240 got anxious and just traded in the car at a local Chevy dealer . Me and my wife know the Sales manager and called him about the car. They were in the process of changing all the belts, hoses and detailing the car for re-sale. But he would not give us a price. I'm afraid that there will be no way to get the car now...cause he did tell us that it would be at least $1500+...maybe even more then $2000...cause it needed tires for the state inspection. Sheesh!! We went by the house with the money on Sat. but they were not home...and when we called them Sunday they had just traded it 20 mins before. I'm so pissed!!!! My wife found out that one of their family members from out of town told them that they wouldn't get much, if anything for the car....cause of the age...lol. He is such a moron...that car was in brand new condition...no stains or rips on the carpet or the seats...paint was in like new condition except for the little bump in the bumper and it had less then 55,000 miles on it. Clean as the day it was new. I'm just livid!!! The only winner in this situation was the dealer...like most of the time. This sucks!

Sucks bad. They probably got like $400 from the dealer.
