No love for the Xterra? My bro in law has been happy with his Chevy 2WD trucks. 300ZXTTMAN has a lifted 4x4 Silverado as DD, IIRC. I'll let him weigh in then this'll get moved to other vehicles forum.

IMO That is a great deal for the truck not sure about the market for chevy trucks where you live but that would be a good deal if that truck was down here. The only thing that is not quite right with that truck is the tailgate it looks like they may have put an aftermarket unit on there but anyway... (curious does it come with the plow?)

Common problems for the chevy pickup of that year range 2003-2007 are as followed **based off of my own knowlege/experience**:

gauge cluster as a whole has a violent history of just suddenly quiting.
Fuel pump
Various fuel delivery components (but not so common)
Auto Trannys
Rearends
blower motor resistors
Temp control units

My opinion you should def be looking at this one close.

One of the best things about these trucks is that the motors (4.8 and 5.3) are rock solid. Another awesome thing is that if you ever needed anything **I MEAN ANYTHING** for the truck i'm just a phone call away and you will get the Nissan enthusiast discount.

(you can ask some members on here about the discount :) )

if it comes with the plow, then get it... you can make a few bucks plowing snow during winter. :bigthumb:

^ thats the plan and tow the Z if need be :mike ,

so i took it for a test drive, it felt solid! everything worked well, interior is 95 % perfect. no noise from anywhere in the front end and i got it on the high way it no vibration in the steering wheel.
there was a little rust on the frame in the engine area but im mean that has to be expected. for the most part i think it might be a good truck. im going to think it over and ill will know on monday .

is there any mafor maintenace that would be coming up around the 100k mark that i should be worried about?

sooo tomorrow im going take the truck ofr final drive. any last words of advice, things to look for, ect? oh the brakes felt kinda soft, no grinding, just a little play in the pedal . and no real "bite" but i had no problem stopping . . it might be just the way it is. there is another 1500 on the same lot and im going to drive that and the green truck to compare.

Might need to be bled, I know many owners who never bleed their brakes, which should be done every two years at the latest.

No thats normal the truck should be able to stop pretty good considering the size. The pedal is soft, but there should be no play. But yes that is also a problem that GM has never been able to really figure out the rear brakes 1999-2004 (disc) end up crapping out which is why if you look at the new trucks 6/2007-present they will have rear drum brakes.

Some 2005 to 2007 models have drum brakes but not all mostly just crew cabs.

You seriously have nothing to worry about if you buy the truck and anything goes wrong after the 12 months all you gotta do is call me. I have everything for that truck litterally everything and if there is something I don't have i'll buy a couple complete trucks from an auction cause that means its time to get more parts :gapteeth: .
