I am thinking about buying a 2008/09 M35x. I have been shopping around between the M and the Acura RL. I saw many posts here about 'tramlining' and got a little concerned. Is this something I should be worried about and possibly deter me from purchasing the M??
I live in NYC so I would definitely be driving on roads that have ruts. Has this problem been blown out of proportion?

I brought my M into an alignment shop, told them to add some toe, and it went away. Others have suggested certain tires as a cure. Definitely not a show stopper. Especially compared to the expensive gamble of the Acura (major transmission failures are common on Honda products.

I bought my 2008 M35x in September of last year and have the stock tires on still. I wouldn't let the trameling issue that others speak of deter you from purchasing. Personally, I have not had any issues and LOVE driving my car.

I also live in NY.

Good luck

I bought a used m35x in July of last year. It had 34k on the clock. I absolutely love the car. It has OEM tires currently, and I will probably change Continental DWS tire that everyone on here seems to recommend.

If I could change one thing on the car, I would add a 6th speed.

By the way - I had a 2011 loaner - M37 - and I did not like that transmission or engine at all. Actually made me happy to know I had a 2008.

Anyhow - It is a great car - I think you will be more than happy.

GL.
