I currently have a S13 Blacktop SR20DET completely stock. The turbo is on its way out, and I am thinking about replacing it with a S15 turbo and a small FMIC. I want something that spools quickly, and don't need high HP numbers. Will the s15 turbo have better response then the stock turbo?

You cant really get much more responsive than a T25. They spool like instantly. The GT28R will provide more tq making it feel much faster even during spool up.

Because it's a ball bearing turbo, it'll spool about the same as the T25, but with better midrange and topend. Good turbo for the money but why not just take up a step and go for the GT2871R?

2871R is a good upgrade but when you upgrade it, theres alot that goes along with it. Fuel, ECU, MAF, and Cams for starters.

I can't complain about the S15 T28. My nephew has that on his redtop and he runs it at about 12 psi daily with the only fuel supporting mod being a Walboro fuel pump. A big improvement over his brothers stock T25 blacktop.
