Thinking about a Q

I found a 94 Q for sale but has a salvage title. I want to use this car as a daily driver and some VIP stuff but I am unsure about purchasing a car like this with a salvaged title.

I have had a 240 in the past with a salvage title and know you can only get liability insurance and not full, plus the headache of DMV thinking it is a salvaged car needing to be restored and blah blah blah.

Any other cons you guys can think of besides the insurance issues? More than likely there is a good reason why the car was salvaged but I don't know yet.

I guess I am answering my own question but maybe just having liability is not soo bad.

Depends on why it was salvaged. Cars that have been rear-ended sometimes have permanent body panel alignment issues, which can lead to doors that get stuck and unresolvable wind noise.

The KBB of a non-salvaged Q45 should be low enough to allow you to buy, but the question that will be asked repeatedly is do you have the funds to perform any deferred maintenance or repair any "neglect damage"?

Normally, when buying a 90-96 Q45, the purchase price is the cheapest part.

One thing to also keep in mind is that the price of these Qs means that it doesn't take much damage at all to give one a salvage title. If it were me, I'd see if the seller gives honest solid answers and can show just exactly what happened along with what was done about it.
