Hey everyone... as you can see by my super low post count I am a noob here, just been lurking for a while... You guys have some sweet coupes!

OK, so I always lease cars, it makes more sense for me... I know that there are a ton of variables (credit/lenght/mileage etc etc) so in order to get a realistic quote I need to go into the dealer and go through all of that...

However, I was hoping to get some feedback from you that are on leases... What kind of payment would I be looking at? I know trim level and downpayment play into this as well, so if you could specify that I would appreciate it.. I am personally looking for a 3.5, with both the prem and tech packages...

I know some of you got your right off the bat and paid a hefty premium for them, but I am figuring that if I was to go in a month or so I could probable get a decent chunk off the price... I talked to a dealer near my office who told me that they werent moving nearly as fast as they thought they would off the lot...

What can I expect? I wonder how much markup is on on of them?

Thanks all!

Hmmm, yeah I have a 2006 Jetta 2.5 that I would be turning in... I think I am about $2000 positive on it...

I could do $400, I would assume you probably had to pay sticker or close to it?

Im hoping to knock them down on it as much as I can, problem is, I know Im going to pay a decent price because I am so picky and want it fully loaded...

Holy **** are you serious? Man oh man... Did you get yours at sticker? Not put anything down on it? Or is it the 2 year lease? Geeze, $638 a month!

Your car looks great by the way, what are you planning on doing after the lease term is up?

I'm going to buy out the lease. When i got the car i wasn't expecting it to blow up with so many prototype opportunities. No i didn't put any money down. I'm sure the 2 years takes effect as well. Bank has to make there money. It will all work out to exactly the same as if I were to buy it with the interest rate

They figured it off sticker around $29,995, and some low intrest rate. With your $2,000 equity(I didnt have) that should make up for the tech package plus by now they are discounting them alittle, So around $400 a month or less out the door should be easy!! Nissan likes the 39month leases for some reason...Good Luck

BTW my buyout at lease end is in the $16K range so if you add it up up not really bad

Tips for a better deal

1. Don't buy a car when it first comes out (like I did) 2. Find a dealer that has the one u want in stock(way more willing to deal) 3. Do the math and tell them your bottom line! (payment with tax inc) 4. Walk out and make them call you back lol (or u paid too much) 5. Get free stuff~I got a free zylon coating and oil change(they charge $500 but costs them nothing really)

I'm buying out my lease. You can modify any leased car, you just have to turn it in the way you bought it.

Yeah I've leased mine as well and am seriously considering buying it out. $2000 down, 12k miles a year for 2 years at $490/month for a 2.5s with the premium package. Sigh, thats the price I had to pay for wanting the coupe the moment it was released.

nissan offers a really good buy out program on their leased cars from what my salesman has told me. you can actually d!ck the pricing and you might come out ahead than if you purchased the car from the very start.
