Alright, well ive been thinking about gettin something for a while, I have a new job, and i make about 4 times as much as i did (about 2k a month and for a high school student thats pretty good in my book) I love Nissans, everyone in my family has or had one, and I was thinking on a 240sx or a z32, well, the car I get is going to be what I keep forever prolly, so, I have heard you if you want a TT z32 you might as well go ahead and just buy one already TT'd, because you'll end up spending more converting than if you just bought a tt from the beginning, but i dont really want it TT'd right now, i drive alot for my job, about 300 miles a week or so (just on the job not including places like school), and N/A's are pretty cheap, so, i was thinking on getting a N/A and converting it some time later, i can do swaps, only part i dont like is wiring, i build motors, and do body work, everyone in my school that wants to know something about a motor comes to me haha and im the leader in my Auto Body class, so i am mechanically inclined, i need help on deciding what i want to do, i dont know if i want to get one with the vg30dett in it already or get one N/A and do a swap later, i dont want to get in too far over my head, as i HAVE to have a car, i am a merchandiser so i travel alot, so, if you were in my position, what would you do? and how hard/ time consuming is the swap (i tried searching but really didnt get anything but swaps into 240's and things like that) yes i know i have been on here asking about things before, and saying that i am going to get something, well i have an extreme amount of bad luck i guess haha and so everytime i plan on getting something, something happens and its sold or i just cant do it, but i have the money now, and dont know what to do, vg30de and swap to vg30dett, or just go with the tt from the beginning, help me out a little and tell me what you would do..

nothing wrong with the N/A especially if your still in school, get the N/A and but a TT when your ready, seems a lot of people will have some sort of mechanical failure and decide to swap the TT in, bottom line just do something .......... anything , you say you got skillz, buy the cheapest ugliest crappiest car you can find and fix it up, although from personal experience buy the best car you can afford to start with, your never pinned down, you can always sell the car and buy something different should you needs change, don't plan on keeping it forever because likely you won't have it near as long as you think

haha, i may have skills but i dont have near as much as some of the people on here, thats why im asking for advice, i dont know what to get, i want one thats in good shape because i dont have much time a day in AB, i just dont know if i should get a tt or na and swap later, how hard is the swap? some say its hard, some say its not as hard as others make it out to be, but i will get something soon, may not be in a couple of days but it will be soon, also what do you need to do the swap, i know vg30dett, trans, all the wiring, intercoolers, the turbos, and all that. thanks!

ok... I have a Z32 and I purchased it as an NA. I loved the car. It was cool, the T-Tops were awesome and I loved the way I felt in it. People would always ask me what kind of car it was and said that it looked really cool. But I soon started getting the bug and need for speed. The NA is slow. No doubt about it. That is not a problem if you are just looking for a cool ride to go about your business in style. But the problem is that all day long you will get people revving thier engines at you. And if you try taking any of them on, you will most likely lose. The NA is heavy and a lot of the newer vehicles out now are lighter and come with great HP numbers.

So I performed the NA to TT swap in my Z. Now I absolutely LOVE my Z. I thought I loved it before, but after the swap you just feel alive. So, my point is that if you even think that you are going to want the feel of boost, then go for a TT right away. But if you are mechanically inclined and think that you can do the NA to TT swap (like I did). Then buy a cheap NA and do the TT swap later. Either way you will love your Z. If you have any questions regarding the swap hit me up, as I have been through it all. I belong to quite a few other Z forums where the NA to TT information is quite plentiful. Ask away...
