I would personally add the deck lid spoiler and wheels. It will add to the total overall look of the car.

A nice set of aftermarket wheels will make the single biggest difference in the overall appearance of your car. The stock trunk spoiler looks very nice also and is an inexpensive addition.Do not go with wheel covers, that will make a negative impact on the car. I think a rear window spoiler will be a little ricey, but to each their own.

I completely agree, keep it classy and sporty, stay away from the window spoilers, decals, wheel covers, huge non-functional splitters, huge spoilers, and non-functional hood scoops that are glued on! No ricing in Maxima territory! Rims and stock spoiler!

what if you just take your stock covers off and shine up the steelies?

for instance:

or go ahead and get some new covers:

or you can go with aftermarket wheels:

or find some sweet OEM wheels that you like and slap those puppies on (of course these are G35 wheels, but still an OEM wheel):

there are a few wheel options for you. now on the note of the trunk wing, i would have to vote NO. the reason for this is that when i when to my first maxima meet in 2005, i was the ONLY maxima there without a spoiler. to me, thats being different. i had my maxima for three years and never once thought about a spoiler after that meet. the roof wing is pretty nice and i would highly recommend getting that to set yourself apart from the crowd. i know all of the pics i posted look like random maximas, but they are all the same one. that's just how much i changed it. the first pic up top is what it looked like right before i totaled it.

good luck in finding what you want to do to your max, and be true to yourself by getting what you want regardless of others think about it.

I would definately look into new wheels. Go for form AND function, I see too many heavy "pretty" wheels out there. I'd love to go give those rim "designer" a lesson in design

Anyways, if you could find one of those "stealth" style spoilers that just sits on the hood, I think that would be nice. A little carbon always looks nice against pearl white.

Also, think about upgrading performance like powerslots and maybe a new grill (though I truly dislike the phantom grills).

I can see what jltibbs is saying about the rear spoiler, it's true, you don't see too many max's without it. Looks clean. I don't like the look of wheel covers, if they're stock, whatever, deal with it, but when you go to Autozone and buy a $15 set of 4, it looks like you really paid $15 for a set of 4! If your budget is tight, look into getting SE 5 spoke rims in a junkyard or off someone for cheap and paint them. I painted my stockers black when I had to put them back on for the winter. It makes them and your car more stealthy, and I just wanted to take the focus off the fact that I was running stocks with all the other mods and put the focus back on the car. Check out my cardomain page for the how-to on painting your rims and pics of them installed!

I agree with Tibbs that you should definitely go with what you personally like best, but of course this post was a poll so you are obviously looking for some opinions to steer your selections.I can't comprehend the attraction to steelies. Looks like you lost a hub cap and decided to take them all off to match or you can't afford aftermarket wheels. I like the dark wheels like black or anthracite with the pearl, and the G35 wheel is hot. Wheel covers rate in the same category as steelies, just a cheap look IMO.

jltibbs,

You have (had ) a GREAT looking Max their bud!!

What is that emblem in your grill??

I don't think I've ever seen that before...great man...just great.

Oh and to the OP, I actually like the spoiler most of the time, but like most others said...it all comes down to what you prefer...because otherwise you'll never be happy with your car. And that is the worst feeling in the world!!!

i agree with this as well. i believe at one time i did think of doing this. you can find these everywhere. would be the best aftermarket option in my opinion. spoilers are a little too big. i think i might even get a lip spoiler for the trunk of my Q.

Not a problem, glad to help! Yeah, make sure you inspect the heck out of them if you do go the junkyard rim route!
