Look at this screenshot I took a minute ago. They are bragging in their advertisements about how their beloved Camaro compares positively to a G37. They're proud to be mentioned with such a prestigious name.

Puts a smile on my face.

I bet BMW is PISSED.

BTW, the G37 Sedan slapped the BMW around AGAIN in the latest C&D article - But the BMW got the nod based on some nebulous nonsense.

The G trounced it in every performance-related measure, but they whined about the "bland styling".

Pardon me, but all BMW's look the same to me, and have since the late 80's. Fail.

It doesnt surprise me that they do that. Did you see this thread? http://forums.g35club.org/zerothread/423334As far as the looks, you can actually go back to the 60's. But since 1993/94 I've noticed that ALL Bimmers have the same basic look. The G is by no means bland. I find it very elegant, and sexy. Sporty curves and a powerful stance. The car looks good from any angle. The 335 isn't ugly, but its styling is old and rotten, so its no longer unique.

Strange ad. If you want a Mustang-like car, it advises you not to buy a Camaro. On the other hand, if you want a G37-like car, why not buy the real thing instead of an approximation?

I disagree that BMWs all look alike. The 2002 was unique and only looked bad with the cow catcher bumpers required in its last few years. The 80's cars aren't worth remembering. In my opinion, BMW's peak was 1992 through 2005. Those models are elegant and purposeful and look as good as anything ever made by anyone. Since then, BMWs have become really ugly. The 3-series coupe is barely tolerable, the 5-series is just ugly and the 1-series is hideous.

You know you driving a good car when others try to compare to it or copy it. LOL

It looks like G is a benchmark. I testdrove a Camaro and I liked it. Interior was cheap tho just like the other copy car Genesis. The dealer guy told me it would be ready for a pick up if I need it. He said they already performed the recall on it. I asked recall? Yeah there was a recall on the Camaro already. LOL

An M6 coupe rolled by me the other day in CLT... Neighbor had a 87 635csi (pretty sure that was the year) and it looked real sharp!!! However, it drove like it weighed what it did...too much!

how the flying fiddle do you have a recall before a model even launches at the dealer?????? Its like brushing your teeth while you eat or trying to turn left during a nascar race.

Gets me... I am sure happy that I drive a G...

I would only be happier in an M5 or an E55 BENZ!

LOL. I loved that...Brushing your teeth while you're waiting...

I like the E32 BMW as well as the older (89-92) 850 ci. It had the V12 and was a really slick looking car.

Glad to see the G is the new benchmark. An AMERICAN G37....i think the "american" part means the interior sucks??

I'm sure its a reference to the build quality lacking in american cars. That and maybe a nod to its good looks? I think the camaro looks cool.

The Camaro looks cool, but it's like a cool sculpture made from a turd. It looks cool, but it's still crap.

Sadly for GM (as well as Ford and Chrysler), the closest thing they have to the G37 and BMW 335i coupe is probably the Camaro. It shows why the Big 3 (or 2.6) is having such problems because it ignores such a large market segment. The other thing they hav the Caddy CTS but... well it's a sedan.

I bought my 04' G35 used last November with 69,000 miles on it and STILL smile every time I walk out to my car no matter what mood I'm in. I love it. I hope to post a pic soon
