Think this is a good deal?

Found a 1991 240sx for sale for $2000. Im havin trouble gettin my mom to give me my money i dont have access to to buy it cause she think 128,xxx miles is a ton...? Its in good shape starts perfectly and runs smooth. Exterior is good will need to replace a side skirt. It was in an accident with the previous owner and everything was repaired but the side skirt. Its got really nice rims and just needs new front tires and some other minor body work...what do you guys think?

128 isnt really alot.imo if its your first car miles dont matter cause youl blow it up anyway in a year or two.2k isnt a bad price if its in good shape.

unless the rims are legit, don't factor those in to the cost.after all, a nice set of rims isn't going to save your car if it's running poorly.

get a carfax and any paperwork for repairs.post some pics up here if you can, we need to see the car to avoid assumptions that may be wrong.

seems like a decent price here in WI for a running driving S13. tell your mom there are alot in the area with 150-200K miles that are still running strong.

eh, imho I don't think that a carfax will help. Not this far down the road, the car is over 10+ years old. It's all about what you see.Is the chassis straight? No rust or damage do it? All panels line up? 2k sounds decent for a clean clean s13 as i see it. yea that's not alot of miles, for an s13 anyways. But then again. You KNOW it's been molested because of the body. If i ever buy another s chasis, its gonan be one from an old lady/man who daliyed it since they bought it off the factory. Bone stock.But its your first one, go nuts
