those kinda revs the only thing on my mind is that littel stupid timing belt, and well i guess the lifters would squeal for mercy too

kinda makes me wish i would have gone with a power enterprise belt or somthing stronger then stock, ive taken mine over 8K a lot on the track.

Don't have to worry about a belt if it isn't worn already. Will revving the engine that hard hurt it? All depends on how worn your motor is already. A good rebuilt can take gobs of revving as my own is getting it's butt kicked around and loving it; with a used timing belt that came with one of my very 1st CA18DET engines purchased back in 1999. The valve train does not like that, so be nice and play fair. Solid lifters, valve springs and cams are what you need to enjoy your tachometer being moved past 7700rpm.

Nah, my engine insides are completely stock. I've gotta Gates Racing belt inside, been there since october, so i know it's diffintely not gunna be spat out.

Was just a little gobsmacked when that came up.. damn thats a high number lol !
