my cousin bought a 84 supra without a turbo its the straight six dohc and he wants to race me in my 89 240sx both are stock i think i will lose what do you guys think

240sx will win, no question. 5mge is a dog, and even 84 supras were heavy. But, if he has a p-type with those sexy fender flares, you lose anyway even if you are faster

it's listed as a 0-60mph in 7.9sec and 1/4mi in 16.0sec

and your sohc 240 is listed as a 0-60 in 8.8 sec and 1/4mi in 16.5

basically it varies into who's car is more beat up lol and in worst condition, tires grip, who has more blown shocks lol.

oh yeah and any 94+ camry 4 or 6 banger will smoke a stock 240 so feel bad now haha

I still doubt very seriously that a Mk2 would win. They only have 145-150hp and weigh over 3000lbs.

240sxluv gogo race and post results haha. yeah those supras are like 3300lbs+ but as a 6 banger it "should" have a better power band than a 4 banger. i dunno either gogo race

I test drove a 1982 p-type, sweet ride, but overall performance is below a 240sx. I would love to buy a later year mk-2 p-type eventually, would make an excellent project (if I can find one without rust :P)

All things being about equal, if one car has decent tires and the other doesn't it will probably be the deciding factor. Otherwise, all the little things will add up for one of you.
