I was swapping my system from my 89 to 92 240sx and while i was hooking up the power cable to the battery i only had one half of the cover for the fuse on and the fuse touched the body and sparked a bit. The fuse was fine but when it happened there was a clicking type of noise down in the relay box under the intake air box. It sounded sorta like a blinker tick but stopped after about 2 mins of ticking. Came back about a min later but only for a few seconds. Should i be worried? Everything works fine and seems to be ok.

Also, when i turn my bass in my system up passed a certain point there is a little pop everytime it hits. One of my subs got a tear in the foam type part of it which is what i think it may be but does anybody else think otherwise? Connections and everything look like they are in good shape.

Thanx!

Your power wire situation should be fine. If there are any problems that arise that are peculiar, let us know.

What is happening with your subs is that they are being driven to their maximum excursion. This means they cannot go any further in their travel and are hitting the bump plate. This is a popping sound and can destroy your voice coil in your sub. Your tear is a dead give away for max excursion problems. So turn it down a little until you can get that sub sent in and repaired. You could always get a new sub. Just as long as you play your music below the popping sound, you wont hurt anything. good luck!

The tear in the sub was actually from me kicking it by accident when it was being switched between cars. I actually think that the popping noise is the speakers. I have new speakers that i havnt switched over yet so i will let you know if that solves it.

Now the relay problem. On the way home, last friday, i had radio stations and the antenna went up. Now i dont. Im assuming the clicking of the relay was the relay trying to send the signal for it to go up but it wouldnt? I cant get the antenna to go up. Would this be the ACC relay by any chance? Its the only relay i see by the intake that looks like it may have something to do with it.
