I'm going to go look at an 05 Pathfinder 4x4 with about 100k on the clock. Are there any specific "pathfinder items" I should look at? I'm a little concerned with it being 4wd.

Ensure the transmission fluid and coolant don't look like milkshakes. Otherwise, there aren't many other known issues to look for as far as I know.
