The coolant temperature sensor connector and its harness are very prone to corrosion, causing really bad bogging.

Running a can of Seafoam through the brake booster line to remove carbon deposits can also help a lot.

I have a 91'240sx. The car has been in my family since 93' here is a list of what has gone wrong,or replaced over the many years. 1-rear main[twice] 2- head gasket and most of all the upper seals.3- suspenion4-timing chain[122,000] That has been about all the major work on it.

Bogging after it warms up in the morning or all the time bogging? If it does it after it warms up its your spark plug wires sparking against the inside of the block. Carbon deposites around the bottom side of the plug wire are also a sign. If not, it could be a number of things- mafs, fuel injectors, thermostat, fuel pump, fuel filter, catalytic convertor, or timing chain. Also, how is your gas mileage? I would also get an induction service done if you havent already. I have a 93 240 that had the same problem, it took me a year and a half of research, 6 mechanics, $500, and numerous other people for me to finally pinpoint the problem. Thats no exageration.

Edit: By the way, unless your engine light is coming on your sensors are fine, such as the coolant temp sensor. Just make sure the check engine light flash's when you first start the car so you know the bulb is working.

Word of advice for those newbies out there with 240's, NEVER I mean NEVER let a domestic car mechanic try to fix or even diagnose whats wrong with your car. Dont get me wrong they may be good mechanics but imports and domestics are like oil and water. You will waste your money on letting them "try" and guess at whats wrong with the car. Symptoms mean different things on imports vs domestic. So basically, make sure they have plenty of experience on imports before letting them touch your car or even wasting your breath explaining the problem.
