Thin paint?

I have a White H/B that bought in 9/06. I have around 12,500 miles on her and the paint seems like it's really pitted. Hood, front skirt and side mirrors have a lot of pits in it.

Drive the same established roads I have driven with previous cars and the same ones my wife drives. Her 2006 Acura TL looks perfect (light silver and half the miles). The V is looking sad though. Does white show it that much more?

I don't live in Riyadh, so sandstorms are not the issue.

Please post pix, i always thought it was black tat had that problems with showing everything. I clean my car once a week and it looks dirty the next day!

My V's red , and it seems as if the front bumper and the rear hatch handle with the smart key button were sprayed with "different' paint.I don't give the front bumper much attention anymore during cleaning, causeit looks like it's a few years old already..19000 miles so far...

I've got a few chips in my hood, but where people have left pretty big dings in my doors there are no chips..

On my front skirt and mirrors, i noticed that the protective film is on them which would explain why they show the pits and things from the rocks. My hood does not have the protective film.

I have an SL, do all of them have the protective film on the front skirt and mirrors?
