I just wanted to verify. Thick white smoke when throttled, a regular idle with no smoke, and regular engine temps, are symptoms of a blown turbo right? cause thats what my car does.

I have a T25 and the car made a loud pop/hiss sound. Im pretty sure it was the turbo, but I thought I would talk to some gear heads first and see what you all said.

B/c Im selling it I think I am going to go ahead and swap the turbo, when swapping for another t25 what will I need to do for prep? anything special?

Yea thick white smoke would probably be a good sign and if your not making boost. Sounds like seals are gone. Now if it was just white smoke with boost id say head gasket.

White smoke means coolent, and Im pretty sure there is no way for coolent to enter the exaust piping from the turbo (the coolent passage inside the turbo doesnt come in contact with turbo bearings or seals, at least as far as I remember, I could be wrong). I'd put my bets on a blown headgasket, causing you to lose compression and leak a bunch of coolent. Any discoloration of the coolent in the radiator?
