wow, that sucks, and is funny at the same time. lol the fact that they found it in TJ, priceless. Glad they found it tho.junie_boy wrote:they stoled my coupe weeks ago, but they found it.. in Tj, Mexico
,stankydanky wrote:man stuff like this makes me want to get one of those lojack type devices, have any of yall had any experience with any of those stolen vehicle trackers? on a side note, since the altima starts with the pushbutton and not a key, would tht make it easier or harder to start or would it just be the same
yeah, but lo-jack "aint gonna do you no good" if you live in SOCAL and they take your car across the border to mexico where the cops can't follow and have no jurisdictionSith LL_Coupe wrote:I had LoJack installed at the dealership and added to my financing when I bought my car. It gives me that piece of mind as I live in Brooklyn and I park on the street. My car moves without the little fob within a few feet of it, I get a txt, email, and phone call at work, home and cell telling me it's been moved. I call cops... tracker is turned on. Makes me sleep better at night....
yep, and if you want the best, I can get you an alarm system that you can operate from your cell phone (track the car, turn the car on, shut it off, etc all from your cellular phone)phobs wrote:Yup, that's why I didn't get it. The dealer kept insisting and I kept saying NO NO NO, because I already know who I'm going to call up when I get a higher end alarm system to be installed .
This thread is not worthless without pics, that freaking sucks having your car stolen (I would imagine). But pics will make it a lot more interestingmikegtr06 wrote:i hate to say it and it sux that it happened......

yeah bruh... folks are coming up missing in TJ.. not going there anytime soon... their tourism economy is suffering A LOT becasue of these drug warsMr.Coupe wrote:Sucks to hear dude. Good thing it was found. TJ is no joke bro. I was out there about a month or so and it was DEAD. Nobody walking the streets at night because it's HOT out there. I have LoJack on my 05 frontier and SAT TRACK on my A/C with the factory alarm. Anyone heard of the SAT TRACK system yet. DOC have you by any chance?

I like that idea. Price?Sith LL_Coupe wrote:I had LoJack installed at the dealership
I doubt it dude. We're in Canada...we don't gots no crime out here! hahaWhen I talked to the guys in the service bay at Brasso, I asked where I could get a good alarm system installed in the area. They actually had the gall to tell me "Why do you need an alarm system? There's already one in the car...". Normally I love the service I get at Brasso, but that was ridiculous...DAAN. wrote:I like that idea. Price?
ESP, do we have that option in Calgary ?
I'm in Nova Scotia and I agree... the crime is kinda low. If something happens EVERYONE knows about it and the person is usually caught pretty quickly. For after market alarm the only places to go around here are stereo shops and if the wiring is of the same type I'd rather do it myself... lol even if it takes a few hours to figure out all the triggers and stuff.ESP wrote:

Lol, umm... if you consider 8 hours away close... then yes. NY State borders Canada, but NYC is at the southern most tip of NY State. That's like me asking you if your Close to Oregon and you're from So CalRob.Vegan wrote:

I have an alarm pager (w/ 1mile radius, or so it claims) and Lojack. Plus my stock alarm for the car, I am going to know if my car is touched
Agreed, I live in Ohio, which does not boarder Canada, and I live about 5 hrs awaySith LL_Coupe wrote:

I just know that when I took the 8th grade trip to DC we went through like 4 different states up there in a matter of minutes. Other than that I had no real reason to look at a map of the NE end of the US. Consider meCurtieson wrote:
