If they have them on the SL's now, we should all be entitled to free badges. Inquire with your dealer, see what they have to say about it.

Same thing happened to me last week. I've seen a total of two V's on the road in the last six months, and on the way home from work one day I passed a transport loaded with Versa Hatchbacks, with SL badges on the two I could see on the back...

It's no big deal, I plan on debadging mine anyway. I'm probably going to do it today, actually. I'm going to see how it looks with just the V on it, but that will probably look terrible, but the badging has to go. I've had way too many problems with wax getting caked up in that area and my towels getting torn by the sharp edges.

Bump.

It's been debadged, and it looks wonderful. It makes the hatch look 10x more refined than it already was, I wish I could take a picture, but my lack of a digi-cam does not allow me to do so.

Too bad those don't look even CLOSE to OEM. Pretty crappy looking IMHO.

Normally they are just big heavy duty stickers. Most manufacturers moved away from drilling holes a while ago. You can easily get them off with a blow dryer and fishing wire. Heat up the badge to help melt the glue. Then work the fishing wire back and forth behind the badge until it pops off. There may be some glue left on the body. I have no idea what would be best to get it off. I've used nail polish remover in the past. But there may be some safer alternative.

Yep, a hair dryer and some dental floss does the job just fine. I used some bug and tar remover to get rid of the rest of the glue, and there was a lot left. After you get the glue off, you should spot clean the area with a quick detailer, apply a cleaner wax, and then I finish off the area with some caranuba wax. You couldn't even tell there was anything there.

Come on Clipsed show some class.

IMHO it doesn't look that bad at all. Better than no badge. Peronally I dont care for the debadged look.

You'd be surprised, then, to hear that they are, in fact, OEM. They are made by Nissan for a Murano. Or perhaps it was a Maxima, either way, they are OEM.

Jemdawg, which emblems did you take off? I might take off the NISSAN logo on the back as it is really big and move the Versa logo into its place, were there any holes that need to be filled? If so I think I may put the idea off until later.

Just the VERSA, I left the Nissan logo. There are no holes to fill, it's just super-duty adhesive.

I used a long piece of masking tape that extended horizontally across the entire hatch just under the VERSA badge. It became a line on a piece of paper if you will.
