here's an example where faster is not necessarily better. I think these speed take what little fun human element there is in slot car racing. this is so fast, all the operator can do is press the button and wait until something flies off the track, hoping its not their car. Yuk. I had a big track like that my youth at a local store. They were fast but easily visible, and to get around the track quickly required modulating the throttle a little.
