Thermostat? Whats a jiggle valve ???

as stated in the title. i do not know what a jiggle valve is for on the thermostat. can anyone help?

Dude, where the hell did you get the name jiggle valve? What relation to the thermostat would the so called jiggle valve have?

That's the little piece of metal that sticks through the thermostat and is suppose to be situated as far (how do you say it) north as possible when positioning it in the thermostat housing. It's for bleeding purposes.

Yea, its the little bypass valve that's built into the thermo housing. Other than what silvia007 said about positioning it when installing the thermo, you can pretty much forget about it.
