Is there such a thing as a thermostat sensor on the 97-98 OBDII Nissan 240SX? If there is, how could I replace it? I think mine is dead.

Thanks!

All engines with the OBD11 systems have a CTS sensor (coolant temp sensor) and also an engine temperature sensor. The first feeds data to the main EEC computer and the second sends a signal to the dash to warn of over heating, hope this helps. You may need a repair manual with pictures to show the location.

Unscrew old, screw in new.

Its located on the intake manifold next to the upper front cover.

Typically its a red 2 pin plug for the ECT, and a black single pin/single wire plug for the temperature gauge sending unit in the dash.

You can find a FSM at http://www.phatg20.net(FSM = Factory Service Manual)
