Tried searching, ive got a stupid question for you guys. Where is the thermostat on the rb25? I think mine is stuck in the closed postion because i havent been able to get water flowing through the rad, even after idling the motor for close to 10 minutes. Unless it just takes that long to open, just dont want to reck anything before I start driving it. I know a vg30 tsat will fit, just dont know where to put it.

Thanks a lot,

Kev

On the left hand side of the engine when you are staring dead-on at the front of the motor you will see a coolant elbow. If you remove the elbow you will see the thermostat right underneath it.

An easier way to find it could be... where your upper radiator hose goes to the engine block, the metal piece under the hose is where the thermostat is. Its (3) 12mm bolts , and a screwdriver to pry the gasket off.

An even easier way would be to follow the lower radiator hose to the block. Remove the Elbow the lower radiator hose is attached to and then you will see the thermostat. Also did you make sure to swap the rb20 temp sensor out with the ka temp sensor. If you didn't the rb20 sensor will make you think the car is running hot when its really not.
