Thermostat location

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

I have 96 240sx, new to the car.

Can someone please tell me where the coolant thermostat is located ( upper or lower rad hose ). Seems like the lower hose.

Is it a job I can tackle in the driveway?

Anything I should be careful of?

Lower hose, easy installation. Be sure to use permatex or some other sealant. Also, replace it with a Nissan OEM thermostat. I went through 2 cheap Autozone thermostats that wouldn't open all the way.
