So my SES light turned on today and I went and had it scanned at Autozone and turns out the code the computer is throwing is a P0128 code. It says faulty thermostat, but I have not noticed any symptoms what so ever and the tem gauge looks to be normal.

But in the end, I am going to change it. What I dont know is where is the thermostat located and what kind of job am I going to be getting into as far as changing it myself? I never really had to work on it myself often so I am unfamiliar with its location/procedure.

Thanks in advance!

On the maximas it is hard to get the air out of the cooling systemafter you refill the radiator. Take your time and pour the coolant in slowly. After it is full and started, you want the car to be on an incline (like you are driving up a little ramp) with the radiator cap off so the air can more naturally expel (burp it kinda)

Let me know if you find the freeze plugs on the engine and if youremoved them to change the antifreeze
