It's pretty simple, I'll try not to forget anything, but if I do, I'm sure someone will let me know-
1. Disconnect the air intake tubing(not nessecary but make it much more accessible)2.disconnect lower hose from the radiator and let drain(drain into something...this stuff will kill animals if they drink it..and they like it because it taste sweet)3. Three bolts to undo the thermostat housing4. The thermostat is probably baked on pretty good as the water coming out is hot and fries the liquid gasket stuff..rip it off5. Buy your new thermostat and gasket..and gasket sealer silicone stuff(dunno an exact name for it..it's blue at autozone)6. Brew up a nice pot of boiling water and and use a thermometer to make sure the thermostat opens up right around 175(unless you got a different temperature one)7. As long as you have the hose undone, you might as well flush the radiator. They sell stuff to do this at autozone...it's just a cleaning chemical.8. Put the thermostat, with the new gasket, into the the engine and make sure you line it up perfectly along the bolt holes. Bolt back on the thermostat housing with all three bolts(that bottom one is a *****)9. refill your radiator. Let the car warm up. Feel the top radiator hose(coming from the thermostat). If it is cold and soft, the thermostat never opened up. If it's hot and stiff(i can hear the jokes coming), then you're good to go. Watch your car that day to make sure the car stays around the right heat. The first time I installed mine it slipped out of the hole and the heat gauge fluctuated..just make sure it's in there good.
