Hello All,

I'm going through the engine compartment on my 78 620 and discovered that a previous owner had removed the tvv and stuck the sensor for a temp gauge into its place. Two questions. Do I need the tvv for good performance, and can I get one? I checked at NAPA yesterday and it seemed that they had one, but the picture was not clear, and because I have never seen one, I didn't know if I should order it up. If anyone can post a pic of one here, that would be a big help.

i removed my TVV for performance... not a huge gain but its definitely not needed. if you want one i'm not 100% sure what it looks like but NAPA guys should know what a TVV for that year is by looking it up

Thanks for the reply.

I had a hunch it wasn't a big deal because my little girl has been running so well. They wanted $42 for the tvv they had at NAPA, so if I don't need to spend that I will be quite happy.
