Theirs Shaft play on my brand new Garrett Dual Ball Bearing T3/T4E 50 Trim turbo

I have a brand new Garrett Ball Bearing T3/T4E 50 Trim Turbo for my topmunt turbo setup on my SR and i noticedto the best of my knowledge it does have shaft play more than normal. I have also checked two other brand new Garrett dual ball Bearing Turbos for shaft play and they a (Diso potato) and a GT42R both were nothing like mine

INFO ABOUT THE TURBO:I bought it from Spoolinperformance in JULY of 2007 it is a Garrett Dual Ball Bearing T3/T4E 50 Trim turbo with a .63 AR on the turbine side and a .50AR on the Compressor side

I can move the compressor side, up and down and side to side. Now whenever i mount it on my SR and spin it from the turbine side it seems fine but i need your opinions on this.

I thought my turbo might be like this because of the ball bearings but it dosent feel right with out asking until i figure out what i want to do with it.

please let me know what you think. I appreciate all the help.

wow i didnt know they sold dual bb t3-t4s now. A little bit of shaft play is notmal on a new turbo just as long as its not in and out

Yea, they sell BB T3/T4 turbos. ATP carries them as well. My GT2871R always had a tiny tiny bit of shaft play since new. Never has hurt anything, never blows oil. It wont hurt to just put it on and try it out. You'll know if somethings wrong by how the car will run.

Ok Thanks im going to try it but i dont think it has too much shaft play and it dosent have any play going in and out.

any un oiled turbo will have shaft play.
