:help

hi,I plan on getting out of the HONDA scene partly due to the theft of integras' like mine. I am buying an 89 240sx....plan on dropping in an sr20 and a silvia front end. i'm not sure if i'll really have to worry about theft. i know when i go to the raceway i'm pulling my license plates..and i dont' plan on telling everyone where i live. by the way i'm in the ca central valley where integra's are stolen in the millions(well not that much....but you get it) will i have to worry bout my silvia just as much as a gsr? are nice 240's stolen alot? is there any 240 theft in san juaquin/bay/sac area?thanks:help

I'm not sure about that area of CA but I know that 240's are pretty easy to be broken in to. I have heard that they are one of the easiest to get in to. That's all I know.Josh

well unlike a honda, you cant bend back a 240sx hood as if it were a tin can

240s are extremely simple to break into, actually quite scary. You can pop the door open in like a minute.

You shouldn't have too much trouble, but with a Silvia front end I'd be worried. Plus there is the gaining popularity of the 240 which will soon bring desire for parts much higher than they are now (i.e. current cost of Honda parts). Plus parts of Cali are just bad for theft. Good luck.

um....my integra hood doesn't bend!!!! so shush....been here a few days and already i think i dont' like you! people don't bend the hoods to get into the engine bay of integras....the hood release cable in right on the other side of the wheel well..and there is only plastic to save people from getting to it....this is something EVERY integra owner knows. now should i do it with the 240sx? why not? it can't hurt anything!

KILL switch Cory. I bought a honda civic ignition switch and was hesitate to put it on. Next few days it was stolen. That was 2 months ago and my car is still not found. Do it now before it's too late. On my 240, i will definitely have an Igntion kill and Fuel pump kill switch. Do you park outside?
