There are 2 towing loops in the back of the 240sx 89-92. I cut mine off.

I dont necessarily think thats going to stop someone from towing away your car. Theft deterrent items- club and/ or autolock, 2 way alarm system with multiple back up batteries, Lojack, removable steering wheel. But like anything, if someone is really motivated to steal your car or are professionals, they probably can steal your car even with every theft deterrent devices out there.

OP, maybe where you live, thieves tow away cars -- but around here they usually drive them.

Oh I know why I don't have 2 towing loops. The owner before probably cut the other one off to fit the exhaust. Also I think taking off the wheels would be a pretty good way to keep from getting your car stolen

You know why "Gone in 60 Seconds" didn't have any 240s in it? Cause they would have had to change the name to "Gone in 60 Minutes."

Bwahahahahahahahahahaha erm heh

I would like to see anyone steal my car. It uses the same anti-theft system as James Bond's Lotus Esprit in "For Your Eyes Only."

Just F'in try me.

Hey don't forget the two in the front also while you're at it.

Considering the noise and sight of a tow truck, if someone was going to steal your car with one, they would more than likely use something comparable to a repo rig such as an eagle claw. My old brother repossesses with one of these and it takes about 20 seconds to hook a car and roll under ideal circumstances. They don't even have to get out of the cab to use it. They just back up to the front of your car with it extended, it swivels around the tires and locks, and they raise it a foot or so with a hydraulic ram. You'd be amazed at how far you can drag a car with the ebrake on. Besides they make dollys that can go around the tire and jack it off the ground to roll on.

Those tow loops are just there to make it easier to strap the car down on a rollback flatbed style tow truck. There are still many spots underneath to attach whatever straps you want to pull, tow, lift, etc. But really all you're doing by cutting those loops is making it a pain for the tow guy if you ever need one.

Then again, +2 for WEIGHT REDUCTION!!!

^ LOL that last part was funny.

and yeah, ive seen that claw **** go down, there were a bunch of people hanging out in like. a shopping center parking lot near a taco bell, and two or three of those came in and everyone got in their car and booked it.

apparently a few people's cars have been taken before they were able to get in and leave.

reminds me of sharks and minnows. minus all the fartcans.

I can't freaking believe it doesn't work for you guys! I have restarted my computer since I posted it and it still shows up! WTFBBQSAWS?!?! I believe it is everyone else that has failed, and I that have WINND!

Anyway, I love my tow hooks. They have proved useful for everything from getting strapped down on a dyno and having the car strapped to a flatbed, to towing a big e300 Mercedes across town! Mostly I use my tow hooks to have my dad help me pull it home behind our van when something important breaks.

In short, I win.

my theft deterant is having it spray painted half flat black.

Plus the general public isnt a fan of mesh wheels or huge wangans. I enjoy having an undesireable car.

The guys I work with are still convinced im on cut springs and my car has an auto zone muffler on it lol.
