So, I've had this red 91 TT for almost a decade now. Let's look back at what's been done, and what's in progress, shall we?

Image

So I bought this car with 72k on it. I then, over the years, while sticking with the stock turbos, upgraded everything else. Injectors, SMICs, brakes, driveshaft, OS Giken twinplate clutch, etc etc. Basically everything that could be done short of yanking the engine for tubos, was done. Then the throttle butterflies decided they wanted to stick open at WOT in reverse getting up my driveway.

Image

Then a bunch of body work was done, including Escort FRP front and JDM lights and stuff in the back and skirts and new paint, new glass, and and...

So here we are, with >400hp on stock turbos, and I'm bored with the power. Let's send it off to ZSolutions, with Brad, in Alabaster, AL.
This is where it is now.
It's getting JWT 700s, manifolds, bigger injectors, and a built shortblock, new wiring harness, even bigger injectors, more, more, more. Since my old engine was sounding tired, what with an oily intake and borderline comp. test, the new shortblock with forged everything should work well. Hoping to hit 600, but will be happy with 550. Also refreshing the suspension with new Koni bits, and even bigger brakes. What do you guys think? Only thing left down the road a far as I see is maybe a 100 of the gas, but I'll have to get used to driving it again first.

The rear I forget, the front is a (now discontinued, and from what I hear, coveted) Escort FRP bit. Basically a slightly modded 99 JDM front bumper, thanks for the encouragement. I've been wondering what I'm gonna do with my money and time after this car i finished (so close!) and I think I've decided.
I'm gonna buy 3-4 1989 R32 Skyline GTRs, rip what I want off of all them and put it into the one I ant to keep, and as soon as they're legal next year, sell the other three. If I time it and do it right, I should end up with a legal GTR for free, and some extra cash. They're only gonna appreciate when we're legally able to have them, so I wanna be ahead of the curve and buy before the price spikes/sell after. Sounds like it will be fun! I see very little risk, assuming I properly inspect each I buy. I would go the importer/JDM auction route, but way too likely I'll end up with at least one f*** car, I'd rather pay the premium to be able to touch and drive each one before I pay anything. Thoughts? I can afford to let 40-50kUSD it around in storage for a year, waiting for that magic 300 month time limit to expire.

Went by Brad's shop, ZSolutions, and took a look at my old block. Half inch of oil in the intake, so not quite a great place to start a build planning on JWT 700s and 2bar of boost, so the built shortblock is a lock. Here we go, guys.....

Just had, like, a flashback: That rear bumper was ordered from Z1, and was manuf'd by Stillen. I still forget the name of it. I'm assuming it's not a commonly used/currently available bit of kit, since y'all were asking about it, but it was bought, oh, 4 years ago, maybe five. Wracking my brain over this one. Here's a better picture:

And hey, here's some more unhappy-a** Z32:

Just a thought, there are plenty of r32s in Canada already as we've had them for almost 10 years. Easier to ale a look at or not get ripped off maybe? Food for thought.

Car looks immaculate by the way, live the design route you've taken.

Cheers

Very nice Z you have, and a very interesting rear bumper to be sure with the single exhaust exits and diffusor.
I'm eager to see more when you get it back from the engine work! :dblthumb:

I'm also getting a cutom plate, NOTRBOS. Should be great. Eat some unsuspecting cars alive, especially if they think it's not turbo (I guess there will be no hiding it when it spools to ~28psi though)
