it is now going on the sixth week, yes, 6. why would a simple s13 redtop swap into a 92 s13 chassi be so hard? i gave my mechanic everything he needed, the only thing he had to take car of was finding a CAS and wiring the halteck. pretty much everything else just bolted right up. and i think any monkey that has read anything about sr20's knows what the CAS is and how they can not be replaced by anything, just the specific item. and why didnt he see that when we checked out the motor in the first place, or why didnt he tell me to deal with it, instead of waiting till week 6 to say OOOPS, im a big jackass, and cant get your car done, because i didnt take care of this

sorry for this, i had to blow off steam,

what would you guys do, take the car back and do it yourself, i can i have someone to help, and i hae done a couple honda swaps. i am just lost because i dont want to piss him off and have him do bad work.

thanks for your help and sorry for the long message.

my swap is going on 6 weeks.. but the guy works on the car like art. everything he's doing is uber-good, so i don't mind waiting at all. sure i want the car, but a clean setup is well worth the wait if you're building something to keep.

i coulda went to a place that can do it within 4 days... but it definitely would have been hacked and slashed.

don't worry about it. i've seen swaps take a long time to do. Especially if the swap is a side job to the guy's normal job. I've been working on helping my friend do two simultaneous swaps. It took us way longer than expected because of some uncontrollable issues. One of the best ones was that the coil packs on one car had crossed wires. That was a fun one to find.
