This was at night in a construction zone on I35, workers present, double fines promised. My son had slowed to 45 mph in his 1990 Q due to lane closure with police cars with lights flashing.

Incredibly, no citation was issued, no sobriety test, no BAC or drug test, no nothing. Round Rock TX police report laid blame on the other driver who was carried away unconscious. Police report stated a cell phone was found in other driver's car with a half entered text message. My son was not injured, he drove his car to the side of the road.

Insurance gave my son a fair settlement, I bought the car from him for parts, it has 110k on the engine, So now I have a lot of spare parts for a good price.

black paint, tan leather, brown plastic panels, some real wood panels in the interior. The seats are not in really good condition, fortunately for me they are better than those in my 1992 with the same interior.

Yes, he did not suffer a scratch. The clown's airbags deployed, he was knocked senseless, not such a far stretch apparently.

the other driver slammed into my son's car in a construction zone, as described above. Driver inattention and/or stupidity? Go figure. Another outrage was the towing bill: $385 for towing, impound, notification, 5 nights storage.

Vehicle accidents are a loose/loose deal. No matter what, one nearly always get scr*wed, and not even kissed. The only plus is now I have a low mileage spare engine for my car. I'm tempted to set this one on a test stand and carry through with my idea for converting a VH45 engine to top fed injectors.

If there are any parts you need for your car if you plan to fix it let me know I will give them to you free of charge as long as you pay shipping. Because I had a 1991 Q45 with a black exterior and I know how you feel.

But I may not have that many rear end parts, either way I will do what I can.

I really hope the guy that hit you gets whats comming to him, They always do though.

Was the other guy at least insured? BTW, just because the dumb cop at the scene didn't write him up that doesn't mean that you cannot get him a ticket later in particular for texting while driving. Don't let this knucklehead off the hook.

I guess that gas tank in the middle thing worked out well for you son.

You can sue the dumbass for a lot of things and subpoena the police report and his cell phone records.

Aren't you glad he wasn't in a StupidCar (their correct name)?
