The wonderful KA24DE swap

Alright so I have a 1990 240sx SE hatchback, power nothing. I blew my SOHC and I'm swapping in a DE from a 1991 240. now i contacted the nissan dealer to see if they could get a line on the A/c bracket, I got the compressor and lines from my SOHC and they said it should work. Now the guy I bought the DE from came outta his 91 240, he swapped a twin turbo 300zx motor in idk the name off the top of my head. but when i went to the nissan dealer they said for me to get the part i needed the VIN number so it could put me on the priority list to receive the part. the guy i bought the motor from wouldnt give me his VIN number instead, he gave me a VIN from a 93 he found off craigslist. I thought it was from the 91 and gave it to the nissan dealer. now i dont think this is true, but they said that the bracket for the a/c pump is different on a 91 as opposed to the 93. Could someone please tell me if this is true or not? after I get the part imma start a build thread even though i already have all my parts ready but that one. thanks guys

I thought that they were the same. It would seem to me that they would be for a 91-94 seeing as the motor's are the same through those years so I'd figure the bracket for the ac would be the same.

yeah man im thinkin the same ishh myself, but its cool i just went to the junk yard today cuz i saw a 91 coupe sittin outside of there. turns out someone junked a perfectly good running coupe with 200k miles on it. so that means all the parts i need ^_^

no sorry it isnt, its a auto. i think the guy at the junkyard has one with a 5 speed though, if not i can have him source you one
