The wiring to my knock sensor doesnt look correct check these pics out

I think that the wiring has been modified. I dont understand why the + and - are wired together and if you look closely at black plug there is only one female post but the knock sensor itself has two male posts. My car still doesnt run right and I think this could be part of my problem. What do you guys think?

Nope, it's fine. That's the way it should be.

The sensor grounds through the engine block, and the one wire is signal, the other wire is the shield ground and should only be connected at one end.
