I just got everything hooked up in my 92 coupe w a redtop SR swap. It won't turn over, but that's not the wierd part. When I key it on the tach jumps to 2000 and stays. When I try to start it goes dead, like a lack of battery power. So I have this loud buzzing noise under the driver's side dash now. I turn my wipers on, and the noise stops and my fuel pump primes!!? Wipers off, fuel pump shuts up, and the buzzing comes back. I am completely lost, so anything would be helpful.

sounds like you have some wires crossed and or your ecu is no good... if you have a friend try to turn the car over see if you are getting voltage to the starter silenoid(sp?? yea i suck at it) have fun chasing wires!!! it sucks

Here's the thing, wiring specialties did my harness.... Now I found a couple jumper wires on the bottom side of my relay box, and did away with them. They made no sense. I got my fuel pump to prime with the key on and the wiper problem went away, but still no start. I am gonna take some voltage readings tomorrow and see what's up.

Check ground on battery? Ha May sound simple but the smallest things make a huge difference. Just make sure you scraped all the paint off where you grounded it.

Thanks guys, I hooked up a fresh batt yesterday, and it acted different. All that little BS went away, the buzz, wipers priming the fuel pump. The solenoid engaged in the starter, but no spin. So now it seems that there is a bind in the engine somewhere, as it is difficlut to turn with a breaker bar at one point. I'm gonna pull the plugs and see if it's compression (hopefully, but not likely), then re-torque my cam caps if need be. I rebuilt this engine myself and spun the block over easily with a 3/8 ratchet. It's either in the head, or somewhere the drive line is binding. Any stories of running an S14 clutch in an S13 (SR20)? I'm just throwing stuff out there.

hey, i do beleive you have to have a jumper on the relay box, i remember something like that on me and my friends swaps. also you said you rebuilt the engine so you probaly upgrade valve springs and stuff like that, well if you did its going to be way harder to turn the engine. i could easily turn mine with just the new pistons but last night with the cams and valve springs and everything i hard a much harder time turning it with a wrench (with out the crank pully installed) but post up what the proplem is cause.

If your solenoid is working and the starter isn't moving it could be just a stuck starter. Pretty common in nissan swap motors that haven't been started in awhile. Just give it a smack with a hammer and that should bust it loose, but I'm not totally sure this is your problem. Just lending advice that I used when finishing my swap.

My problem was the ignition wires under the steering wheel at the plug were unpinned. Well one of them was. Go figure, some crazy idiot who i bought my car from fails.

Ok I am at the shop now. I removed my valve cover, coilpacks, CAS, and plugs. The engine spins fine now. I beleive I didn't install the CAS correctly, and that the compression is making the engine difficult to turn over. I'm gonna search for a CAS install thread, and go from there. Hopefully this is it!

Check this **** out!! So I took off the VC, and plugs and turned the engine. No Bind. Turns out that my leaking injectors had put enough fuel into the cylinders to cause a hydro-lock. I took the plugs out and cranked it, and it spun over no problem! So I will be getting injector o-rings tomorrow!
