Alright, now that I have your attention here's the deal. I know that our 240 drivetrains are prone to cabin vibration and something of a rough ride, but I think mine is getting obscene. Even travelling over recently paved roads I feel constant bumps and jars, as if the tires are going over very small humps in the road. When the roads actually do get bad I think I'm going to get my neck snapped. I'm pretty sure my suspension is dead as it can be (it's a decade old, for the love), but as of now my budget does not permit me to do a whole new setup, if I'm going to do it I'll do it right ONCE. Can someone tell me if it is normal for our cars to vibrate, bump, jar as much as this?Does your 240SX Vibrate more than you would think it should?

My car is actually very comfortable... there nothing like booting your car around the city and country side with your friends... well... except for sex....

You might want to check your tire balances and front/rear alignment. Both could be causing a rough ride.

Just did the tire balance, rotation, and four wheel alignment. That was a few months ago, but alignment shouldn't have to be done but once a year or so. And those things usually make it get worse as speed increases, that used to happen but was fixed by the aforementioned things. I'm talking about ever little dip, divit, bump, hump, jump, slip, dip, and so on is translated directly to my feet or my ***. Anyone else got tips aside from my suspension components are shot to hell? Anything specific that would help this? I could just start throwing suspension parts at it but that seems somewhat wasteful.......

I dont think your suspension is shot at all... I think you struts are perhaps too stiff... causing a more "feeling" ride...

Yep, springs and struts could be your problem. How old are they?

Unless he's riding on bump stops it wouldn't feel like that..... Oh wait... it might... go outside and push down on your car's front and back... if the car has alot of bounce recoil you struts are gone... if your car is sitting low and you can easily depress the springs then there gone... just give it a try

Goodness, it springs up and down like a broken toy, and it SURE isn't that they are too stiff. And they are the good old Nissan shocks and struts from the factory folks, yes, the factory. Still say NISSAN stamped in big letters on them. New question, and I don't think this has been discussed ad nauseum, so I'm going to make a new post for it........

You need new shocks buddy... everytime you hit a bump you car travels all the way to the bumpstop... im sure if you get new struts it would fix your problem
