I have found all my parts for my rebuild and will be recieving them shortly...So how much do you usualy have to pay in labor to install:

Pistons/Rods/bearings/headgasket/oil pump/water pump..???

and do i have to have them clean the head because of the metal flakes in the oil pan?

Please just tell me its not over 1,500 in labor alone

$1000 would be a good price at a reputable machine shop, this should include boring the block too.

prices vary depending on where you live, how good and honest they are. if you are going stock bore then it will only need rehoned, well its a smart thing to do. call up the local shops bcause its kinda hard to give a cost estimate.

oh, its going to cost alot more if they pull the motor and take it apart. not to sure if you will be able to have the bottom end built for less than 1k unless you pull it.
