Just heard that the Obama administration is trying to bring back the fairness doctrine that Ronald Reagan did away with. I've posted some links below to bring you up to speed if you are in the dark about this. Our Constitution gives us the right to free speach. I know almost every last vestige of that has been stripped and taken away already, but this move to basically destroy AM radio and shut down Rush Limbaugh (a man I don't necessarily hold in high regard, mind you) this is the move brought on by a man who's first steps in office are to crush his opposition, and not follow thru with the CHANGE we all expected (Note: extreme sarcasm) This is exactly what Clinton did when first elected, this is nothing new! I submit to you that President Obama is simply following the Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro playbook he was given by those who put him in office. We can't really blame the poor man from Illinois... or was that Hawaii, oh thats right, Kenya!

Here is a link if you are unfamiliar with why this "Doctrine" is horrible for our country.http://www.heritage.org/resear...8.cfm

And to actually be FAIR here is an article in favor or re-implmenting it. http://www.commondreams.org/views05/0212-03.htm

Just thought I would share this with the fellow Nissan fans on here who happen to be active politically.

Quite frankly I think it will go over like a lead balloon. The reason think that is because they would have to do it across the board which would mean more Fox news and less CNN. . . also less New York Obama Times and more of conservative news (what? I thought journalism was supposed to be neutral in these matters?).

We can't succeed in a free market so we will legislate "fairness", sounds like a liberal idea.

Republicans need to STFU. In my newly-found position as a moderate Democrat I want every news reporter or TV/Radio "personality" who says anything against MY GOD to be sent to a mental hospital to be brainwa......errrr.....helped out of their psychosis.

Well I guess no one wanted to discuss the idea, voted down 72-11 or something like that, which I guess is good news. I'm still not expecting a turn around in anything media related though, why worry about the 2 or 3 conservative voices out there in a liberal run media anyway.
