So earlier in the week I got a chance to REALLY test the rear legroom in a Versa.

I had the need to transport a co-worker of mine about 3 blocks (it was raining heavily, and downtown Seattle's pedestrian lights can be REALLY slow).

Well, this particular co-worker happens to be 6'10". That's not a typo. With his permission, I asked him to sit behind me in the passenger seat directly behind the driver. My seat was adjusted to my normal driving position (1 notch forward from the rearmost position).

He was perfectly comfortable, his knees still weren't touching the back of my seat.

THAT, my friends, is legroom.

The entire reason why I looked at the Versa in the first place was its styling and roominess... I gotta say, without a doubt I could entertain a client or two (or three) without having to spend 20k.

That's awesome E.V.! I know exactly what you mean. There is a boy on my son's football team who is huge. We're talking like 6' 5" and at least 200 lbs. (at 14 years old ). Anyhow, he lives near us so we've given him rides home from practice a few times. The last time I picked him up I was driving the Versa, and when he got in the back he said, "Man..I love this car!". He's so used to being stuffed into vehicles, that it was a real treat from him to be totally comfortable in the back of a "small" car.

Yeah, my father in-law is not what you'd call a trim dude by any stretch of the imagination. He's easily 6'2" and has got some girth. He makes the front seat of his '07 Tundra seem like a squeeze.

When he found out that I was buying his daughter a Versa he didn't seem to pleased - "those little things?", he asked.

But I put the driver's seat where I'm comfortable (1 click from furthest back - I'm 6'1") and he got in the back and had plenty of room. Ever since then he's backed off the "small" talk.

The Versa does have a ton of legroom. I say this because I am 6'7".
