but wouldn't it be more like KY unlimited slip gel?

Remember it is not the traction that we want, it is the slipping :)

besides it is easier to stick things into an open differential than a locked one... ;)

Point taken, although friction has its uses as well...Don't even get these loons started on "open rear" one-liners. What a can of worms.

Stickgoat, I know this, and I agree totally. That is why my wife and I do not like KY, too slippery and there isn't really any "feeling" involved.

LOL, but you should also know that it is better to be too lubed than not lubed enough. At least that is what wifey sez :)
