Okay, so I found which nissan has the 4.636 fd that fits a 240 and it's from the "front" diff of a 2001 xterra "se". There's also a 4.90 that fits the 240 diff from a 2004 xterra.

The owner of a turbo'd 260whp 240 says the 4.6 much better("the difference is night and day in a good way"), an auto cross 240 owner says it's also better cause he doesn't have to downshift like before to get more acceleration, a drifter said he can drift in 4th gear now where he used to have to shift down to 3rd, and an n/a ka owner says it's a great bang for the buck upgrade because n/a ka's need as much of an edge as it can get and 0-100mph is much quicker now.(I know the speedo is not the same with a 4.6)

Hello everybody. I joined this site back when I was thinking of buying a 240sx. I'm now actually an owner of a 89' coupe with a Ka.

Completely impressed with Full-Race's R-14 (except for some fit and finish on the suspension mod) I really want to do an "R-13". Looking at front clips with the RB26DETT from the R32's I'm thinking the only real issue I'll have is getting a rear diff to match. Suggest any links to places that deal in rear diffs to these?

I searched and found this thread being curious about the front gears, not knowing what car or gears the car had that the clip came from. Any info postable yet for my inquires? As stated in the first post, are all the R32's 4.11's? I notice he added a possible 4.363.....

Where would I go to find out how many different ratios the R32's came with if they did, and in what years? Googleing hasn't produced a lot of answers.

Thanks, Russell

looking to cut down some time on the quarter with my r33 gts25t pushing around 500hp. The skyline also carries ther200 differential. Do you think that the 4.6 final drive ratio wud be ideal for such a set up?

A higher gear ratio will help your quarter mile time. Additionally, you can increase your tire size to run down that time a little more.

And I know this post is old, but I thought I would contribute for those who stumble across this by Google search like I did.
