With so many folks travelling from far away to visit Long Beach CA for the JCCS, I was curious to see how many US states NICOnauts have visited. Below is a link to figure it out quickly.

I couldn't finish because something got blocked. However, while checking boxes, I've realized that there aren't many states left to visit. Mostly the mountainous west. Those will happen for skiing at some point.

Been to 43. Still haven't seen Louisiana, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, or Wisconsin. I figure if I'm flying out of the continental US I may as well go to an actual foreign country, so I see little value in Hawaii.

The far northeast (beyond Boston) is empty and not on the way to anything interesting. Delaware sucks.

:chuckle: 44 for me. The ones left for me are Alaska, Hawaii, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming.

I can understand about Delaware having lived there a year, but if you like fall foliage or winter fun like skiing, the far northeast is beautiful.

All 50 as the military took care of the difficult ones for me (Alaska, Hawaii). Some were good, some were boring, all were an experience.

A feel horrible with 6. And one was on accident. Went off course by 100 miles on a trip and ended up in the wrong state. This was before gps was the cheap marvel it is today.

Anyone been to any provinces? Just BC for me. I lived an hour south of Alberta for more than a decade but never went up there.

I haven't been to Mexico, nor do I want to.

I just vacationed in Ottawa (Ontario) this summer and it was great. I've also been to Quebec and BC. I have a buddy that's talking about entering a car into the New Foundland Rally. I'd be his copilot if it works out.

I wouldn't dismiss Mexico. There are some very nice parts to it. It's not all like Tijuana upon which people tend to base their conclusions . I spent a week in Cancun and it was a lotta fun (and not very expensive).
