REMEMBER THIS BRAND NAME -- "NOKIAN"

Tthe tire I have is a Nokian WR-SUV. Rated for an SUV this tire is classed as all season but has a rating for "winter tire"

Wet , dry, Snow pack - traction is excellent especially in all wheel drive mode in my 2002 QX4

They will cost you but this is truly a case where "you get what you pay for".

Happy Shopping...

Please comment, compare, anyone own these ??

Have not seen these. I run Michelin LTX M/S on my 01 4x4 pathy. They've done fine in snow and sand. I had Firestones on my 99 Exploder 4x4 and they did GREAT!!! But, were recalled for causing Exploders to go belly up.

I really like the Nokians, but before they came out I bought a set of studded snow tires and some extra rims. I bought the tires new, but the rims were only $100 on CL. I had bought them originally for the 2000 QX4:

Then I bought a 2001:

Basically, I have a summer set up and a winter set up.

Once the summer tires wear out, I will likely upgrade to Nokians. A lot of people buy them here. I know people that have had very good luck with both the WR and the Hakkipalita (sp?).

I haven't seen snow like that here in NC in a couple of years. Hopefully this winter! Unfortunately, we get more freezing rain and ice.

Nokians are wonderful. . my friend has a set of snow tires made by them. . they can be studded, but even as is. . AMAZING. . they're the hakakalaklsdfalfjasdpitas.

Yeah I forgot how to spell it.

Where's a good source for 'em in the US though? I always had snow tires for my 240sx because it really REQUIRED it if it snows. . haven't had a good snow here in Indiana in awhile, and it makes me sad
